Mondorf Swimming Club – Competitor’s Code of ConductThis document outlines the expected behavior and commitments of swimmers representing
Mondorf Swimming Club in official and unofficial competitions, both in Luxembourg and abroad.
1. Commitment to Performance & Representation- As a swimmer, you strive for excellence while upholding the values of fair play, dedication, and teamwork.
- You represent Mondorf Swimming Club (and Luxembourg, if applicable) with pride, honoring your club’s reputation through effort and sportsmanship.
2. Participation in Competitions- Swimmers must compete in events for which they qualify, including team competitions.
- The coaching staff selects competitions based on seasonal planning. Schedules may be adjusted (additions, cancellations, or replacements) as needed.
- Early notification is required if you wish to participate in a competition, allowing time for registration.
3. Behavior & Respect- Show respect and courtesy to coaches, officials, teammates, opponents, parents, and facility staff.
- Follow all safety and facility rules, avoiding damage to equipment or venues.
- Wear the official club attire during competitions and ceremonies (club t-shirt, shorts, and cap at minimum).
4. Training & Preparation- Attend all scheduled training sessions and follow the coach’s instructions diligently.
- Actively engage in training to improve performance and technique.
- Notify your coach in advance if you must miss training, a competition, or a trip.
5. Travel & Documentation- For international competitions, ensure you have:
- Valid swimming license
- ID/passport
- Parental authorization (if required)
6. Anti-Doping & Fair Play- Strictly avoid banned substances and never distribute them to others.
- Follow all anti-doping regulations set by FINA, FLNS, and other governing bodies.
7. Financial Responsibility- The club covers registration fees for most competitions, excluding:
- Open Water events
- European/World Championships (unless otherwise agreed)
- If a swimmer withdraws without valid reason (e.g., illness with a medical certificate or family emergency), they must reimburse the registration fees.
8. Parent & Spectator Guidelines- Parents are welcome to attend competitions but should prioritize team unity.
Swimmers may join parents only after their events and recovery are complete.
